  What Cures Heartburn?

It is estimated that 42% of the population in the United States are trying to discover what cures heartburn.  That’s over 125 million people. That’s a lot of stomach acid.  It also means billions of dollars for the pharmaceutical companies.  They don’t want you to know that there is a holistic, natural cure for heartburn.  They don’t want you to know the possible dangerous side effects of medications.  They want you to constantly spend money on their drugs that only provide temporary relief.


Over the Counter medications that neutralize stomach acids such as – Alka-Seltzer, Gaviscon, Maalox, Milk of Magnesia, Pepto-Bismol, Rolaids, Tums, Mylanta, Eno. These are the most widely sold group of drugs in the world.
  Possible Side Effects– kidney stones, constipation, alkalosis, gastric distension, headache, decreased muscle flexibility, hypophosphatemia, osteomamacia, renal insufficiency, hypermagnesemia, arterial hypertension, heart failure, diarrhea, flatulence. Low stomach pH may cause reduced ability to absorb iron and B vitamins, increased vulnerability to infection.

This group of drugs deactivates the acid pumps in the stomach cells that actually produce the acid. They inhibit the production of acid in the first place even though acid is necessary for the proper digestion of food – Prilosec, Aciphex, Nexium, Prevacid, Prilosec, Protonix.

 Possible Side Effects – increased risk of bone fractures, headache, nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, dizziness, abdominal pain, hypomagnesemia, B12 deficiency, rash, itch, flatulence, constipation, depression, anxiety, erythema multiform, pancreatitis,acute interstitial nephritis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, pneumonia

Possible Side Effects – difficulty swallowing, difficulty belching, difficulty vomiting, stomach bloating, reaction to anesthesia, damage to esophagus, stomach, spleen or other organs, bleeding, infection, heartburn returns, fatality.

 So, what cures heartburn?   Antacids and Proton Pump Inhibitors ?   NO.
